Hello Summer!



November to April: weather permitting!

Time for YOGA@beach - outdoor Yoga at its best! So nice to do Yoga outside in that delicious fresh air greeting the sunrise with a nice and easy practice including some sun salutations as it has been done for thousands of years!

We support the Sumner SLSC

...and we are very grateful that the Sumner SLSC supports us!  It is a win-win situation of true community spirit. We donate $10 to the Sumner SLSC for every session we are able to hold. Usually, we were able to get about 20 sessions in per season. 2022/2023 is our 6th season! We have started this summer to do YOGA@beach twice per week and if the weather Gods are with us we might even get 30 sessions in this season. The sessions are held on the deck of the Sumner SLSC which gives us a firm ground to practice on while enjoying that beautiful view out to the sea.

Sometimes this event has to be cancelled on short notice due to the moody NZ weather.


If conditions are ideal, this is a glorious experience, wonderfully energising and a perfect start to your day!

The sessions are 60 minutes long and we start at 7 am from November to February. In March and April, we shift our start time to 7.30 am to adapt to the sun rising later in the morning. In case you are squeezing in an hour before work, please let us know if you need to get away at 8 am (8.30 am) sharp and we will make that happen. We also always have some spare mats for anyone who can not bring their own.

👣   We always have some spare mats in case you cannot bring your own.

👣   Unless it is really warm and beyond 25 degrees, it's always a good idea to bring an extra layer of clothing of whatever serves you best because when some wind is going it can immediately get quite cold when we finish moving and rest in Shavasana (Corpse Pose) for our final relaxation.

👣   You might even want to bring socks 😉 although relaxation usually is pretty super short, about 2 to 3 minutes when it is not warm enough for comfortable outside relaxation.
