Our holistic intuitive style is Hatha Yoga based, but open to influences and inspirations across the huge range of styles and variations Yoga has on offer today. While guiding you along the way we provide freedom for creating your own personal approach for your Yoga practice, which also aims at the overall traditional goal of Yoga practice: Freedom for body, mind and spirit! In my view, freedom for body, mind and spirit is the ultimate yoga experience. Come and try our sessions!

Using our intuition with Yoga can greatly help us learn how to listen to our bodies and how to gently adjust postures to meet our individual needs. This will enhance your overall well-feeling, and support you to create a practice that becomes uniquely your own.

YogaIntuition is always encouraging you to find your own rhythm and go at your own pace, hold any postures only as long as it feels right for you and rest any time you like.

Our Christchurch yoga classes are for beginners and every Yogi because we offer Yoga for body and mind! We also adjust continuously and offer variations to match your needs as best as possible. The style is intuitive and gentle with a challenging edge for healthy expansion. Our emphasis is on making the practice comfortable and enjoyable for you! The sessions usually start with a good warm-up, then a sequence of 'Yoga for the Mind' and also provide a guided deep relaxation at the end of our physical part of the session and we round it off with a 10-minute meditation. Our sessions are like a mini-retreat and the in-person classes go for 2 hours.

YOGA THEME CLASSES - Your Weekly Mini-Retreat

Our holistic style of yoga offers a comprehensive 2-hour mini-retreat with a warm-up, yoga for the mind, the physical yoga practice, a guided deep relaxation afterwards, and a meditation to conclude. Each term we work on a theme and each week we highlight a different aspect of our theme. This is often reflected in the physical part of the session as well. A term usually consists of 9 or 10 weeks (there are no classes during school holidays), and you are welcome to join our program at any time (this applies to the Theme Classes, the Yoga courses need to be booked at the start). All classes & courses are suitable for beginners and for every level (especially because of our holistic approach) and are also always adapted to the needs of our participants.

This 9-week course offers an ideal start for your introduction to the world of Yoga! The course program includes an introduction to the 8-fold path of Yoga, you will learn over 30 yoga poses, as well as basic knowledge about breathing, meditation, mantras, and mudras. This course provides you with everything you need to know about Yoga in a holistic way - for body, mind, and spirit - to get you off to a good start.

With time, space, and consideration for individual needs (max. 8 participants), the course offers an optimised learning experience.

The 9-week course 'The 5 Tibetans & Chakra Balancing' is a true journey to more in-depth self-knowledge if you are interested in finding out. The '5 Tibetans' offer a simple and quick daily fitness practice that can also be customized for various needs. The exercises that are called the '5 Tibetans' also directly influence our chakras. 1-on-1 Private Yoga, The Ultimate Treat

A 1-on-1 session could be described as a multitude of small individually tailored inspirations, impulses and support for you personally! It prepares the ground for a good start to your yoga practice and helps you to gain insight into your personal needs and how they can be met. It's also an opportunity to get to know your yoga teacher a little better and decide if you're really comfortable with her style of instruction.
A private class is an ideal introduction if yoga is completely new to you. It can also provide optimal support for your personal yoga practice if you're looking for targeted development in some specific direction or simply need a boost for your fitness, recovery, energy and relaxation needs.

1-on-1 is the way Yoga has traditionally been taught. Because of the fact that everyone is a little different, group yoga necessarily always is a compromise. Private instruction is most effective because it is customized guidance and encouragement that provides the best foundation for individual experience and development.

Private sessions also are an excellent preparation in case you plan to become a Yoga teacher - it can be a wonderful mentorship program.

MEDITATION

Yoga is a perfect preparation for meditation. And meditation is the heart of yoga! That's why we finish every yoga class with meditation...

Meditation is not only the ideal stress relief, meditation allows us to go beyond the mind and reconnect with our heart and soul. Via meditation, we invite the world of inspiration and intuition into our daily lives, we can experience the miracle of being, and we become able to 'do less and accomplish more', as Deepak Chopra put it.

We have the opportunity to expand our consciousness and to learn about and experience higher states of consciousness. It opens up a world of wonder and unlimited possibilities and at the same time, it is the best tool for creating deep inner peace.

YogaIntuition offers a 9-week Meditation Course, a 4-week course in Primordial Sound Meditation, and regular Meditation on Sundays. All of this is available free of charge, to make sure that money is not a barrier to learning all this precious knowledge. However, we do ask for voluntary contributions if it is possible for you and you are happy to support us.
